Better integration between Google Docs / Spreadsheets and Presentations

Yesterday, Google released a new function known as Web Clipboard.

It allows to copy and paste between applications and also store the various copied texts server side for later use.

Google strategy is clearly to raise the level of features of Google Docs up to Microsoft Office, allowing it's business clients (such as us) to reduce the number of required Microsoft Office licenses to the minimum.

As it could generate savings in the future, we definitely hope that this will happen.
We wait for 3 big features before being able to do that :
  • full offline Read/Write capability
  • high fidelity import / export between Google Docs and Microsoft Office formats
  • improved editor
From what we've heard, Google developers are working hard on these features.
