Google announced yesterday that we will soon be able to access plenty of new services will be accessible through the Enterprise dedicated Google Apps accounts.
We today use following 8 services:
60 services may be added to the list, but we will decide to activate only a few of them to all users, and other will be activated on demand to other users if there is a business need.
Of those services, I'd like to advertise some:
- Google Reader : a web-based content agregator. With Google Reader I check Industry news, Scientific news, and any subject I'm interested in, by subscribing to feeds. Pubmed published feeds, it's easy to set-up a watch on a molecule name on it. Google News provides feed, it's easy to set-up a watch on a competitor on it. Etc
- Picasa Web : a web-based image storage. Ability to upload and share images. With Picasa Web you can easily create an image bank for marketing purpose, share it with colleagues, share it with clients, distributors, Internet resellers
- Google News : a web based news agregator. It retrieves news from many newspapers websites and pure internet content web sites and presents it by sections. You can search for news related to anything, and set-up an alert when news fall matching your query
- iGoogle : a start page on which you can add and organize services such as CevApps tools, news, search engines...
These services will be available to all early next year. In between, we are testing the one we think that can be useful with a small set of pilot users.
